V ACTES DE LES JORNADES DE DOCTORAT Programa de Doctorat en Física Aplicada i Simulació en Ciències Presentem en aquesta Memòria els projectes de tesi avaluats en les Jornades de Doctorat del Programa Interdepartamental de Doctorat dels Departaments de Física Aplicada i de Física i Enginyeria Nuclear de la Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Els resums adjunts corresponen als treballs de recerca defensats davant el Tribunal Únic del nostre Programa des del cursos acadèmics 2004/2005 fins al curs acadèmic 2008/2009. Mitjançant l’exposició i defensa d’aquests treballs per part dels nostres estudiants podem, d’una banda, avaluar el progrés assolit en la seva tesi doctoral i, de l’altra, fer difusió a la comunitat universitària dels temes en els quals estan esmerçant els seus esforços. This special issue of Physica Scripta contains papers presented at the 1st International Meeting on Applied Physics (APHYS-2003), held in Badajoz (Spain), from 13th to 18th October 2003, and more specifically, selected papers presented during the conference sessions mainly on Applied Optics, Laser Physics, Ultrafast Phenomena, Optical Materials, Semiconductor Materials and Devices, Optoelectronics, Quantum Electronics and Applied Solid State Physics-Chemistry. APHYS-2003 was born as an attempt to create a new international forum on Applied Physics in Europe. Since Applied Physics is not really a branch of Physics, but the application of all the branches of Physics to the broad realms of practical problems in Science, Engineering and Industry, this conference was a truly multi and inter-disciplinary event. Mi tesis doctoral ofrece el estudio pionero en España sobre evaluación de hipermedia, introducido por la tesina sobre enseñanza de las Ciencias. Los hallazgos se aplican en formación permanente de profesorado incidiendo en la educación dentro del aula (interculturalidad e igualdad de género especialmente). Por un lado, se presenta y usa la Guía del profesor. Por otro, se implementa el seminario como técnica participativa previamente planificado. La Guía del profesor se diseña, traduce y utiliza en PDF. Con el seminario presencial se motiva y potencia el espacio digital docente con cargo al proyecto SUPERCOMET 2 (LdV, Unión Europea). Orden de coautoría razonado: expertos en Pedagogía (1ª y 2ª posición), analista de datos y difusión (3ª) y expertos en Matemáticas y Física (4ª y 5º).

This abstract book includes all the abstracts of the papers presented at the 2nd Annual International Conference on Physics, 21-24 July 2014, organized by the Athens Institute for Education and Research. In total there were 21 papers and 24 presenters, coming from 16 different countries (Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, France, Georgia, Germany, India, Israel, Japan, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Sweden, Turkey, USA). The conference was organized into six sessions that included areas such as Wave Propagation/Optics, Nuclear Physics, Materials/Devices, Cosmology/Relativity/Astronomy and other related fields. As it is the publication policy of the Institute, the papers presented in this conference will be considered for publication in one of the books of ATINER.

The conference was organized into VI sessions that included areas such as Theory, Biomedical Physics, Chemistry/Instrumentation e.t.c. As it is the publication policy of the Institute, the papers presented in this conference will be considered for publication in one of the books of ATINER.
