Eiffel Tower Backdrop

If you want that gorgeous Eiffel Tower from the Paris hotel in your backdrop then head to the Bellagio Valet.

As much as it would make sense for the Paris to have the best spot for capturing the Eiffel Tower, it’s actually the Bellagio. Who knew?

Right across from valet, behind the water fountain, is a set of stairs that leads you to a lookout over the Bellagio fountains and Eiffel Tower.

Here, you will have a clear shot of both the lake and Eiffel Tower.

It may also be one of the most romantic backdrops in town oh la la!

The best part is you’re high enough so no one can obstruct your view.

PRO TIP: Come before sunrise. As the sun peaks between the Eiffel Tower. You will have a gorgeous photo.

Location: 3600 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109 (across from the main valet)

Circus Circus + Adventuredome

Sure the Circus Circus is hardly the best casino on the Strip, but it’s one of the last casinos with the vintage Vegas entrance I love and seriously miss.

Who else loves the vintage Vegas look more?

Front Entrance

This entrance is super underrated. Come during golden or even blue hour when the lights start to pop. You will get the most magical pink photo.

PRO TIP: this photo would be better shot on a less busy day like Tuesday or Wednesday. Trying to shoot during a high traffic time will get annoying seeing as this is the path all the cars take.

I love the fun vibes of Circus Circus so much, I’m giving you a BONUS Instagram spot.

The Adventure Dome

The carousel and carnival rides make for a fun photoshoot with friends and fam.

After watching the recent Marry Poppins Returns movie, I felt inspired and went to the Adventure Dome to capture the photo you see below.

It’s free to walk around the Adventuredome. If you do want to ride rides, tickets will range from $6-12 per person.

However, I asked the operator of the carousel ride if I could walk on just for a photo and that I didn’t want to ride. She had no problem.

Never hurts to ask. I do recommend riding at least El Loco though. When you’re done taking photos of course.

Location: 2880 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109 (main valet)

Caesars Palace

So many, I mean so many people think the best photo at Caesars Palace is the hotel lobby, but I disagree.

I think it’s out front on the corner of Flamingo and Las Vegas Blvd.

Caesars Palace is a gorgeous property with tons of photo ops extending from the Forum Shops to the walkways out front.

Head outside towards the Absinthe tent. You will find a set of stairs and to the right, in the far right corner, a beautiful gazebo offering amazing shots of Las Vegas Blvd.

Even when I was there, I eventually caught people’s attention. By the time I was done taking photos, there was a group trying to capture their photo too.

I’ll be here all day folks!

PRO TIP: When editing this photo, bring up your shadows. This spot tends to get shady quick.

Location: 3570 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109 (out front to the right of Hell’s Kitchen)

James Turrell at Crystals

Talk about a neon daydream. James Turrell light installations inside the Shops at Crystals are a must, especially if you’re going for that modern, pop of color.

James Turrell is an artist who focuses on light and space.

Right near the elevators, visitors can enjoy this neon changing work of art.

Colors change to all sorts of colors. It’s truly remarkable and so few people realize it’s here, let alone created by a famous artist.

Holiday Motel + The Pink Cadillac

The holiday motel sign is one of the last great signs still hanging around in its natural habitat.

Located across the street from Aztec Casino near the Stratosphere is this adorable IG spot.

If you are a fan of retro signage and pink things then this is a good spot for you.

On most days, a classic pink Cadillac is parked out front waiting for its paparazzi moment.

But hurry!

Rumor has it this sign is being retired and taken to the Neon Museum. Guess it’s not the end of the world but the original location always wins.

PRO TIP: Shoot down low from behind the nearby bushes. You will get the full sign, bits of the Cadillac, and yourself. Of course, you should always experiment though.

Location:2211 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89104

New Las Vegas Sign

Watch out ‘Welcome to Las Vegas” sign, there’s a new spot in town. One that delivers even more.

Not far from the Holiday Motel sign, on the other side of the Stratosphere is the new Vegas sign.

I am so in love with this spot. It’s a giant Las Vegas sign with giant showgirls on both sides.

But that’s not all.

They even placed giant stacks of poker chips and dice around for your sitting pleasure, giving the whole scene a nice backdrop.

However, I don’t know if this Instagram spot will stay underrated or become infested with tourists like the others.

Most visitors seldom venture off the Strip. But the ones that do (aka Y-O-U) then you will be greeted by this truly fabulous sign.

Location:2000 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89104 (right next to this casino)

Symphony Park

Located at the equally beautiful Smith’s Center, lives a stretch of rainbow pipes – perfect for Instagram and one of my favorite art pieces around town.

But there’s more to this than many know. Constructed by artist, Tim Bavington. This display of colorful pipes represents a single note in Aaron Copland’s composition, “Fanfar for the Common Man”.

Can you spot the unpainted pole?

It represents the end of the composition.

I’m not too familiar with this composition but always appreciate a backstory. It gives life to what you’re looking at. Don’t you agree?

Downtown Street Art

If I had to narrow down my favorite piece of art downtown, it would be what I call the lightning bolt building.

This building serves no other purpose than to sit around looking pretty for photographers. No one is mad about it!

This is where the heart of the popular festival, Life is Beautiful takes place. You are surrounded by giant murals all presenting a unique work of art.

I suggest visiting them all. It makes for a good stroll.

Las Vegas Instagram Spots: 17 Unknown Places for Stunning Photos | Seeking Neverland (10)

PRO TIP: As with most street murals, it’s best to shoot during golden hour or on an overcast day so that you don’t cast tons of shadows on the wall.

If you do find yourself there on a sunny day, make sure to sick right against the wall, essentially blocking your own shadow.

Abbey Road Crossing Las Vegas

And this whole time you thought Abbey Road was in London. Girl, were you right.

The one in Vegas is merely a replica. A colorful one to say.

Located in the heart of the East Fremont District is hidden in plain sight, Abbey Road.

Looking at the wall, you will see a mural of the Beatles crossing the street. Above is an actual sign of Abbey Road, signed by randoms.

To your right, is the rainbow crosswalk that is Abbey Road.

Pay attention to the small details as you cross.

You will find another replica of the famous “Imagine” tribute to John Lennon, followed my more art murals.

Cross this road and your backdrop will feature the iconic Martini sign and a clear shot of Fremont Street.

So many goodies packed into one photo!

11th Street Records

If you love those vintage vibes, then 11th Street Records is an absolute must-visit.

The guy employee I met was super chill. I asked him if it was alright if I took a photo inside and he was totally fine with it. I always like to ask in places of business. Never want to make people feel uncomfortable.

After you get your super dope photo, look around and take home a few vinyl records. You never know what you will find.

This is also located near more art and cute coffee shops.

J’adoor(s)

For some reason, doors are a popular thing on Instagram and these two doors are no exception.

Fun City Motel

This first door is simple but cute. It’s also not that far from Holiday Motel or the new Vegas sign. You can park and walk to all.

You really just need any room though preferably a vacant one.

I would like to give credit to one of my favorite Instagrammers, @hotpinkpineapples for taking advantage of this spot.

Location: 2233 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89104

Corduroy

The second spot is this amazing orange door at Corduroy. There’s only one catch.

The door pretty much stays open during business hours between 4 pm – 2 am.

That means if you want your photo, you have to go before they open.

Location:515 Fremont St, Las Vegas, NV 89101

The Plaza Hotel

Back to my love of vintage Vegas. The Plaza Hotel is staying true to it’s fabulous past…for now. Who knows when this will change, so better grab your pics here while it’s good.

I’m not much of a night photographer, but this place is only good at night. When the lights come on and start to shine. You will get sparkly white lights in your photo. Banger I tell you. Banger!

This hotel was recently renovated. Consider booking your stay here if you’re wanting to experience Downtown Las Vegas.

Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign

Did you know this sign is technically outside city limits? It was also designed by a woman! #girlpower

Some fun facts for you to share.

Though everyone has a picture here, it’s necessary. Some cliches are OK in my book.

If you want to get crazy you can visit the second “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign on Boulder Highway.

Though far from glamorous compared to the one on the Strip, you just might be the only one with that for your Instagram photo.

Location:5200 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119

Neon Museum

This is a guided tour by appointment only. You must purchase a ticket for a reserved time slot.

And don’t think you can wander off. The tour is rather organized and you will not be able to veer off very far.

But that’s 100% ok because the tour is really good.

Location: 770 N Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89101

This desert gem has exploded in popularity, they extended its display time to hopefully forever.

A little side tip. If you’re already driving out to 7 Magic Mountains, head a couple of miles (if that) to Jean Dry Lake Beds.

If you time it during Golden Hour you will capture the most beautiful sunsets.

Best Camera Gear for Travel

Now that you are well informed on all the best Instagram spots in Las Vegas, I thought you might want to know the best photography gear to bring with you

When I first started taking photos for Instagram I used my cell phone. However, my photos never turned out as expected.

It wasn’t until I got into the nitty-gritty of travel photography that I learned more tools are used to produce high-quality photos.

After many trips with heavy equipment, I realized that was never the way to go.

For your trip I recommend taking the following camera gear if you want nice looking Instagram pictures:

Keep if extra light and bring a smartphone. The best smartphones for photography are the Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel 3, and iPhone 8.

For added quality, use these clip-on lenses and post-edit your photos in free apps like Lightroom Mobile CC.

If you want to invest in a more professional camera check out the Sony a6000 mirrorless or Canon EOS M50 mirrorless.

Both are incredibly light and produce high-resolution images with RAW bring an option.

Grab this tripod which condenses down so small you can stick it anywhere.

As for bags, I like this lightweight crossbody camera bag from Evecase. It looks more like a purse; therefore, looks better with stylish outfits.

For more space and still lightweight, consider this backpack with added safety features and room for other packing essentials.
